On this currently obsessed holiday edition I wanted to not only bring the current beauty products I am obsessed with but also, an easy to do holiday beauty look.
A holiday beauty look for me is going to be little bolder, yet keeping it simple. I like to add a bit more color and bit more sparkle. For this look I decided to do that through highly pigmented gold shadow, glowy skin and a stained red lip.
I adore glowing skin. I want dewy, light reflecting, J.Lo skin but in an every day way. I could not for the life of me get into contouring, want nothing to do with the layering of makeup but I am into the glow.
What I am wearing:
Pat McGrath Labs Metalmorphosis 005 Kit in Gold 001: Oooooh do I love this product so much. It packs quite a punch, is so reflective and gorgeous by itself. I wanted a simple wash of it over the whole eye lid. I used the cream base it comes with first, then with my finger patted the pigment into the inner corners of my lid, blended out and up into my brow. It is a statement on it’s own. Add lots of mascara and go. I think you can still find this product at Sephora (sells out quick) or MAC makes a gorgeous pigment in Old Gold that will do the trick.
Glossier Generatin G in Zip: This red is perfect for anyone who doesn’t want to really commit to a red lip. This chapstick like consistency goes on smooth and stays like a stain. I put it on and don’t think about it again.
Glossier Halscope in Quartz: I could not love Glossier more. I am fan of all their products. Their whole approach to beauty is one that falls in line with mine. Real beauty with cosmetic products that emphasizes (not cover up) the unique beauty that is you. They are creating real staple products for the real woman. This highlighter is gorgeous. It gives that dewy pearl look to the skin that is so subtle, which is my favorite word in makeup. I use this on the outer socket of my eye along the upper ridge of my cheekbone. I smudge a little there and then pat it into my skin with my fingers. I also, put a little on my finger and dab it into the corner of my eye and then along my cupids bow.
Glossier Halscope in Topaz: Hello bronze! Again subtle, just lifts your skin like you got a little tan. I use this under my cheekbones in that socket before your jaw. I usually line down like you would with regular bronzer and blend in with my finger. I then will add little to the ridge of my nose and pat in. Try not to overly rub it in. I added a little to my temples for this look.
RMS Luminizer in Master Mixer: Oh god I love this! It’s slightly rosy and the glow it creates is just so beautiful. I mostly apply this right on the ridge of my cheekbone. This works wonderful with a cream blush that I will add to the apple of my cheeks, lightly blend and pat up my cheek bone. Then add mix master to that upper ridge below your eye socket which mixes well with Glossier's Haloscope in Quartz. I use this the way I use Halscope as well; the inner corners of my eyes and on my cupids bow.
Voila! I'm J.Lo. Don't be afraid to add a little sparkle and shine!
