It’s that time of year again, the wondrous, joyous time of the year when I go broke. JUST KIDDING (but really)…anyways I love the holidays. Everything is cozy, familiar plus everything smells so good. I can never escape the lovely smell of a Christmas tree or cinnamon pinecones; it’s the absolute best.

In the spirit of that lets talk about how the holidays are the best excuse to OD on RED. Pjs and red lipstick?! ACCEPTABLE. It's Christmas and I'm festive. If you're anything like me you love lipstick and nail polish (etc). Both have been a staple in my life since my Mom gave me permission to wear both, privately when too young and publicly when my age was socially acceptable. If you're really like me then you've been on the hunt for the perfect/true red lipstick and perfect/true red nail polish for the better part of your life #thestruggleisreal. I have a few favorites but my tried and true/always come back to /can’t live without/never discontinue/love of my life is Ruby Woo by MAC Cosmetics (lipstick) and Big Apple Red by OPI (nail polish).

Ruby Woo will make you feel like the sexiest woman in the room. Big Apple Red will make you feel like a Parisian woman. Both are beloved by moi. Holidays or not they are constant staples in my makeup bag and perfect solution when you are unsure what to wear that night or need a boost of confidence.

Tip: Ruby Woo is very matte and can be dry to put on. I suggest lip liner my personal fav is MAC’s Cherry (seen on me) or add a little Aquaphor to the lips and blot with a tissue to add some moisture to the lips.
